I am very sorry to hear of Mavis's passing. She was a very talented and caring person. I will never forget when she and Gerald delivered a huge pan of divinity fudge to me at my new apartment; I was delighted. My condolences to all family!

Condolences to all the family. Cherish your wonderful memories. We were next door neighbors when we bought our house at 453 Canada Street in 1973. We built a house and moved from there in 1991. She was a lovely neighbour and person. When our daughter was born in 1988, Mavis knit her a beautiful light blue dress which I still have in Mariska's keepsake box. God Bless you all. . .

Our condolences to the family. My husband grew up in Marysville and even as an adult called her Mrs. Wood even though she told him he was old enough to call her Mavis. We could count on seeing her out for her walks or working in her yard and we always stopped to say hi. She was a lovely lady and a great neighbor. She will be missed.

Ron and Melanie and family; Steve and Alita and family, and her many loved ones and friends. Mavis will be missed by all of us who loved and lived with her in the Ville. She could always be seen tending to her gardens... walking everywhere... and daily visits with friend and neighbor Jackie (late Ron Brown). Richard and I and the girls will never forget you. You worked so hard all your life. Enjoy your rest and loved ones gone before. We love you and will miss you every day.

Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful lady. She has been a dear friend for many years to our family. As a new mom with two young children she was so very kind to us all over he years and was known as “our Mavis” as we knew a few ladies named Mavis. We had been treated to milk and homemade cookies at her kitchen table on a very regular basis and we enjoyed our visits so much. Mavis loved her family dearly and we had the great honour of meeting them all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you I know how very much she will be missed. Sincerely, Myrtle, Terry, Nick and Amanda McFadzen
