Obituary of Margaret Ann True
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ann (Fradsham) True, at the age of 83. Ann passed away surrounded by family at Lakeview Manor, in Riverview, on Sunday January 15, 2023. She was born on August 9, 1939, to the late Harry and Leota (Seymour) Fradsham in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
After completing her studies at Netherwood School in 1957, she obtained her teachers license from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton.
She started her married life with her husband Percy True in Woodstock, where she operated a private Kindergarten. After a few years they returned to Fredericton where Ann continued to operate a Kindergarten until her retirement.
Ann enjoyed her time with Percy living at Grand Lake, enjoying many “Happy Hours”. After Percy’s passing, she enjoyed many happy years with her companion Charles Rankin. They traversed New Brunswick and Quebec with their trailer, one never knew when they would appear! She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with both family and friends, including the Hanwell Rd Tim Hortons “coffee club”.
Ann is survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) Fradsham; sons, Timothy True and Robin True (Krista); granddaughters, Sydnee Lowe (Jorden), Taylor Lowe (RJ) and Reeghan True; grandsons, Joshua Arbeau (Andrea), and Ricky Arbeau (Brittany), as well as great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Andi, Tyler and Daxton.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her loving husband, Percy True; in later years her long-time companion, Charles Rankin; cherished daughter, Cathy True; her companion, Gerry Tremblay, and her sister-in-law, Patricia Fradsham.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Lakeview Manor in Riverview, operated by the Salvation Army, who provided tender care to Ann in her final days.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at McAdam’s Funeral Home from 1 – 2 pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2 pm in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel, 160 York Street, Fredericton, with Ven. Wandlyn Snelgrove officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
