Dear Bruce, Brenda, and Sherry,
Wanted to send my sincere sympathies to you all. I have so many wonderful memories of growing up in Kensington Court!!
While not in F’ton that often, I always tried to stop in to see your parents and catch up on the news. Both your parents were always so welcoming! I also have many fond memories of Christmas Eve get togethers and later, phone calls!
With much love to you all,
Nora-gene Goodwin

To the Noble Family,
Please accept the Bardsley family’s condolences on the death of your dear mother and grandmother.
Your beautiful words expressed in her obituary captured the essence of our neighbour whom we affectionately remember.
Her interest in, affirmation of and graciousness toward Jennifer, Michael Jr., Patrick, Mark and Alexander lives on fondly in their collective memories.
Our shared friend and neighbour, Molly Bobak, once told me “Lesslie Noble bears her name authentically…she is noble.”
It was at that point I referred to Lesslie as the ‘Noble Lady’ of Fredericton. She enriched the lives of so many of her neighbours and beyond, no one less so than mine.
Lesslie, Rest in the Peace you so richly deserve, our “Noble Lady of Fredericton”.
Mary Bardsley

Bruce, Marilyn and family, Brenda and Sheryl,
Our sincere condolence to you in the passing of your dear Mother.. She was a joy to have as a friend.
I remember being at UNB with your mother when Princess Ann was visiting. Your mother had picked a bouquet of flowers from her garden for Edward to give the princess. When Princess Ann noticed the flowers she came over and said, “Are they for me?” But Edward would not give them up,. The princess went into the Old Arts building on one side and came out the other side. When she passed us a second time, she stopped and said, “ I remember you, you wouldn,t give me the flowers”. She tried to take them again and he still wouldn't give them up. We all had a great laugh over that.
I know she will be missed but she is with her beloved George now.
God bless, Edith and Bev Rankin

Aunt Lesslie was a charming, compassionate woman who demonstrated commitment to her family and community throughout her life. Although distance separated our families she always stayed connected with her sister Eileen(my mom)and our family, whether by phone, letters or travel for a visit. On a trip to the east coast in 2012 my family and I planned a visit with Aunt Lesslie and Uncle George. As you can imagine they greeted us with open arms, food, drink and lots of family stories. Our condolences to Bruce and Marilyn, Brenda, Sherry, Ed and Peggy, and Rob. Great memories live on.
Much love, Susan & Karl XO

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. What a wonderful and inspiring life she lived! My Mom (Lesslie's sister) always called me Lesslie and I consider that such a compliment! If I can only live up to her remarkable self!! When Lesslie would visit us she and Mom would have a wonderful time together - one time at my expense. They decided they were going to cut and perm my hair. I was about 11 or 12 at the time. Aunt Lesslie took a small chunk out of the back of my neck with an adventurous pair of scissors! Aunt Lesslie could bring about cheerfulness and fun to any occassion. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives!

Sherrie, Brenda and Bruce. Your Mom had a long and lovely life but those of us who had the privilege to spend a bit of time with her will miss knowing she is on this planet. I always saw her as a rock, someone to be trusted and a calm voice of reason. As a child, I loved that she had open arms for humans and all animals...dogs, birds and even skunks! Your parents were a memorable couple...they were meant to be with each other. Our Christmas Eve's were made even more magical by visiting your home (man was that eggnog good) just after we celebrated my Dad's birthday and just before the church service at Saint Pauls. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. Kristie McAllister and family

Cheryl and I are saddened to hear of Lesslie's passing. She was a great lady and growing up I remember many parties at the Noble home. Lesslie and George were always welcoming and we made good use of their pool and tv room. Fond childhood memories. Cheryl remembers being invited for a swim during one of our early visits to Fredericton. Despite the sweltering day, Lesslie had made supper and baked a cake for Don and Althea, Cheryl and I and toddler Ryan. We enjoyed the relief of splashing in the pool until our little guy was tired out. Cheryl expected an unhappy child but kind and experienced Lesslie took Ryan by the hand and led him to the kitchen table where she had the iced cake waiting to be decorated with Smarties. You can imagine the results were a bit messy with licked fingers reaching out for a test taste or two but baby Ryan was focused on the yummy task and arsenic hour was avoided. Cheryl was so impressed with Lesslie's willingness to let a small boy loose in her tidy kitchen with guests awaiting dinner. Ryan and his parents adored Lesslie for her thoughtfulness. She will be remembered.

I had the privilege to have met Lesslie,in her younger years, when her son Bruce was newly married to Marilyn.I had gone over to the house to meet Bruce's parents and I vividly remember being greeted by this lovely, sweet human being with a warm smile and calm demeanour. She radiated a light that was the same as the sunlight that filtered through the curtains and bathed the interior of the livingroom.I had met her only that once but the memory of her has lingered all these many years later with her gracious kindness leaving an indelible mark.
-May she rest in peace
