My sincere condolences to Dawn and the Vautour family. I fondly remember Dennis as such a devoted father, citizen of Dalhousie and a kind man who always had a smile for everyone at the rink.
You are in my thoughts during this challenging time. You surely have many great memories to cherish.
He will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Cathy Thorburn

"Life only comes around once, so do whatever makes you happy, and be with whoever makes you smile". This quote reminds me so much of Dennis who did exactly that. He was always happiest when surrounded by family whom he loved so much. I always admired the love he and Dawn had for each other even after 67 years of being together. He was a man of many talents and loved by everyone whose path he crossed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. You will be missed. R.I.P. Dennis

I worked with Dennis at The Napanee Home Hardware Building Centre. He trained me to manage the Kitchen and Bath department. He was always very patient and encouraging as he helped me take on a field that was completely new to me. I enjoyed listening to his stories of family, work, travel, sports and square dancing. He was a man of many interests! He spoke of his wife and family often and I know he was very happy to move back to New Brunswick. I will miss him stopping by my desk with a cheerful grin and a Hello Sunshine! Sending my thoughts and prayers to his wife and family at this very sad time.

I had so many great conversations about food, travel and family with Dennis. He was such a pleasure to work. I can't say I've known many people more pationate about what they do for a living then Dennis was.

So very sorry to hear of Uncle Dennis passing. Much love to Aunt Dawn and condolences to all the family. The thing I remember the most was the love he had for Aunt Dawn and how inseparable they were in their 67 years, a lifetime of love filled with children and grandchildren along with lots of experiences especially when it came to music; in particular bluegrass. I remember at a very young age thinking how cool he was living music like he did. Rest in Peace - you have earned your wings.
