Bel and I are so very sad that Jim has died and regret that Covid and our own health problems kept us from making our yearly trip to Fredericton and the chance to enjoy his company during the last few years. One of our memories is the collaboration of Jim and our shared grandson, Ky in brewing an excellent beer.
We’ll miss him.

Jim was one of the finest gentlemen I’ve had the privilege to know. With every story he conveyed immense pride in his community and the connectedness that comes with a life well-lived. Endlessly generous with his time and wisdom, he became a treasured extended member of our family. We will treasure the memory of Jim’s kindness and wonderful laugh. Lorna and Mike, we hope that your family finds comfort in each other in remembering Jim.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Hughson family. I was the AIr Liquide Technical Rep during the eighties. I spent a lot of time at the Valley Oxygen store during those years. I always looked up to Janus for his technical know how during that time. I was so impressed the he believed in my ability to help his customers in their welding application. He may be gone but will have a place in my heart.

Dear Lorna and your Hughson family,
It was my pleasure to know Jim from when he built the building across from Mike Barron's in the Industrial Park.
I was fortunate to know Horace and Maxine too. Next to Jim, i may be Maxine's biggest fan. Jim, Johnnie Horsnell and I have long been associated with the Road Builders Association and we have enjoyed some wonderful times together over the years. Jim was a great guy and he will be missed by his many friends.
My deepest condolences to all of you.

We send our love and hugs to all.
Uncle Jim always had great stories and jokes. He made us laugh and was always kind and generous. We have fond memories of our visits, though not that frequent in the last few years, we dropped in on our way through to visit mum at the shore. Never dull moment with Uncle Jim!

Dear Lorna, Michael and Sue,
Micheline and I are deeply saddened by Jim’s passing. We feel very fortunate to have had the privilege to share special moments with you and Jim throughout many of life’s chapters. As such, Jim has played an outmost important role convincing me, while I was working in Montreal, to establish my own business back in my NB hometown in the same field as yours. I will forever be grateful to him for the confidence and guidance he has provided me. He was not only a mentor throughout my career but also a great friend with whom I enjoyed many salmon fishing outings. Mich and I continue to cherish the happy times we have had together.
As they have witnessed the special friendship we shared, Denis, Josee and Sylvie join us in expressing our most sincere condolences to you, Michael, Sue and the extended family. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time.
