Obituary of Gordon James Wright

The family of Gordon James Wright announces his passing on April 13, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, after a period of failing health.

Born in 1958 in Sussex, NB, Gordon grew up in Oromocto, NB, and spent most of his life living and working in Saint John, NB.

He was proud of his daughter, Erin Marie Wright (Quinn), and granddaughter, Aryaunna Wright, of Grande-Prairie, AB.

Gordon leaves behind three sisters and two brothers, Diane Lanteigne, Ellen Wright, Janet Wright, Murray Wright (Barb), and Paul Wright; Sister-in-law, Bernice Poirier, plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Germaine (Marchildon) Wright; brother-in-law, Don Lanteigne; brother, Michael Wright, and nephew, Andrew Wright.

Our brother was a quick wit, a raconteur, a gifted mimic, and a lover of music. He was an entertaining brother and friend with a kind heart.

In keeping with Gordon’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A private family interment will take place at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Oromocto, NB, at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
