Sending warm thoughts and many condolences to Florence’s entire family. She was a wonderful colleague and friend to me in my early teaching days at OHS. We had so many wonderful conversations during lunch hour about our families. Her love was so evident in the wonderful family times that she shared in her stories. Very sad to hear of Florence Hawkins’ passing. Graceful, kind and witty is how I remember her best. Like many of the OHS staff in the 80’s, she welcomed this young teacher to the staff and offered assistance and advice throughout our working relationship. My condolences to her husband and family.
