I was sorry to hear of the death of George Cross. He was a friendly happy neighbour with whom we chatted over the fence as gardening was being done. He was such good company at your garden parties as well as any social events held at my parent's house over many years. He was the person who showed me the ingenious idea of putting a long pocket in my winter coat to carry a shoehorn for ease in putting on my shoes when visiting my client's homes. He will be remembered fondly.

Dear Barb,
So sorry to hear about George. I well remember you both coming for tea and how chatty and friendly he was. I also remember when Nicole and I visited you he was busy showing her all sort of treasurers.
Always remember the happy times.

Saddened to learn of your husband’s passing. We first met George when he moved to Valley View Street. And then of course we were mutual friends of Nancy and Gerry Cook who lived on Spruce Terrace. Nancy and I often bought your” Cat’s ( whiskers)” as gifts to give to friends. So you were an artist as well as your husband. I have a beautiful print of your sisters vase of Rose’s, which was painted by your sister in the West Home. I have it hanging now on the wall in my room in The York Care Centre. My Dad also knew your Dad Mr. West So a lot of connections. With Caring and Sympathy,
Ruth and Hollie Craig

Thinking of you all as you grief for George, .Barb my memories off Him and CMHC come to mind especially today, Saturday the May 29th as we celebrate the completion off Wilmot Flats, the renovation off the " Old Manse" for housing for the less fortunate. This I believe was project George suggested to Wilmot many years ago..
