Obituary of Carla Anita Rasmussen

The strongest person on the planet with the biggest heart has left us for a better world. Carla Rasmussen, daughter of the late Elinor Olfasen and Carlo Rasmussen, passed away on May 4, 2023. She will be missed by her wife Tracey Rickards and children Kelly (Brent Braaten), Jeremy, Ted (Saird Larocque), and Hilary Costello (Brandon Tolliver) and beloved grandson Theodore Tolliver, step-sister Jytte Mejnertsen, cousins, and so many wonderful friends around the globe.

Proudly born in Sydney, Cape Breton on January 31, 1955, she grew up in Montreal and graduated from UNB Physical Education and 1-year teaching certificate. She worked at the English Language Programme at UNB for over 30 years, making many friends from around the world. She was a fierce and competitive athlete and bridge player.

Loved by many, she will be missed. See you on the courts and at the card table.
