Andrew Sullivan

Obituary of Andrew Ian Sullivan

Drew passed unexpectedly on June 11th, 2023 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Drew was 67 years old, born on October 30th, 1955 in Saint John, New Brunswick, to Doris (Ricketts) and Robert Sullivan. In the summer of 1979, Drew married his childhood friend and the love of his life, Cheryl, whom he spent 40 years lovingly devoted to.

Drew graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick in 1978. Starting as a sales person at R.L. Crain and quickly becoming a Sales Manager, Drew made a career in Print/Packaging and Document Management. That storied career took Drew, and his family, from New Brunswick to Nova Scotia, and ultimately to Toronto, Ontario, as President of RR Donnelley Canada.  At retirement, Drew took an assignment, Senior Vice President, at RR Donnelley Brazil. A lifelong business man, Drew still held a position on the Board of Directors for SupremeX.

Drew was always on the go! Spending his time enjoying morning walks around the neighbourhood; training at the gym; coffee or a pint with friends. Drew took pride in a tidy lawn and a clean car, always having the nicest lawn on the street, and the cleanest car on the road.

Spending time with family became one of Drew’s joys and priorities after the passing of his wife Cheryl. He especially loved the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, from reading books, taking walks, sitting by the fire, and even jumping on the trampoline to humour them! He spoiled them beyond measure and they will forever miss their “Pappa/Puppy.”

Drew was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl, and his parents Robert and Doris Sullivan. He is survived by his children, Jenna Cochrane and husband Chris, Jared Sullivan and significant other Paula Morton; his grandchildren, London, Lily, Cooper, Shayne, and Ella; and his siblings, Randy, Robyn, and Beckie.

The family has chosen to do a small private gathering. Please reach out to them directly if you wish to offer condolences. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bladder Cancer Canada, or a charity of the donor's choice.
