Dear Sharon, Melanie and Jennifer,
It was with great sadness that we learned of Claude's passing. He was pleasure to work with and a true "gentle" man. He was also one of the best joke tellers ever - he would have you laughing before he even hit the punchline - a rare talent!
We hope your memories of the good days will help you get through these darker ones.
Colleen and David Babineau

I met Rev Miller in Bathurst when our Girl Guide group, 2nd West Girl Guides, suddenly found ourselves homeless. I knocked on Rev Miller's door and he kindly and with humour welcomed us into his Church hall. He is one of the finest people I have ever met. I have always felt gratitude for his generosity. Girls still meet there each week and learn how to be good citizens. Ann Rendell, former District Commissioner, Girl Guides of Canada.

Carole joins me in sending our love and condolences at this time.
I counted Claude as my friend -- and if you had Claude as your friend you had a friend indeed. We worked and served together for many years. I will never forget his faithful steady oversight of the Church of the Resurrection project. At every twist and turn in the road we could count on Bishop Claude's wise counsel and support. For some nine years I served as one of his territorial archdeacons -- his faithfulness to the Gospel and to the church was deep and real. I will miss Claude.
Carole and I will keep you in our prayers over the coming months.

To Sharon and Family:
We are Claude’s beach neighbours and have enjoyed his company for many years – and often, from his generosity, the bounty of his garden as well! There were many good chats as he walked the beach and sat on his “beach platform” to enjoy the beauty of the summer evening. He will be very much missed.

Sharon, my sincere sympathies to you and your family. I was saddened to hear about the passing of The Most Reverend Claude Miller. I remember in the early sixties when visiting the Miller Residence, Claude, Hanson, Terry and I would be in the front porch listening to Ricky Nelson records, and Claude would grab the side of my head and lift me off the floor, Veda would come around the corner and yell, "Claudie, what are you doing to that child", the good old days. In Remembrance, Duncan Knowles

My heartfelt thanks goes out to Archbishop Miller's family who willingly shared him with his extended church family.
When I was in my time of discernment and studies Archbishop Miller eagerly spent hours with me in discussions that encompassed his favourite subject; what great things Christ has done throughout his life. I remember that quote fondly since he often shared this with strangers on planes who quickly became friends through the Archbishop's love of Jesus and his willingness to share his story with others.

So sad to hear of the death of my third bishop, and dear friend. He served as my mentor in my Doctor of Ministry. A man who gave up a prosperous career to become a priest in later life. I first met him when he directed my ordination retreat. An inspiring example of what it means to be an Anglican priest. His deep Prayer-Book spirituality, humble honesty, and quiet wisdom and patience will be deeply missed. As a bishop, he always put people before principles and mission before money. He also led the diocese in a respectful partnership with lay and clergy leaders. Thanks to to God for the Most Rev. Dr. Claude Miller. God be with Sharon and the family.

Our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies go out to Sharon, Melanie and Jennifer, and Uncle Claude’s brother Hanson and his wife Hazel and family. Uncle Claude gave great advice, played a wonderful 12 string guitar, and was highly accomplished in the Scouting movement, as an entrepreneur, and in the Ministry. He was a person who was always there for others and was passionate about all things he pursued. We will miss him dearly and will remember his smile and the beautiful legacy he has left for all. With love, Lorey, Barbara, Paul, Juliette and Mark.
