I was so sad to hear of Charline's passing. I had just spoken with her in June and we were planning on having lunch together when my sister Carol came to visit this week. As my brother Mike said, Charline would be disappointed to miss a lunch date! Mom and Dad enjoyed time together with Doug and Charline when they returned to Fredericton and Mom and Charline enjoyed many bridge games together and Sunday mornings at church. She was such a wonderful lady, so caring and full of life!l. We will miss you, Charline and we are thinking of your entire family at this difficult time.

Growing up we always saw Aunt Charline and family on ThanksGiving weekend at the Spicers cottage in Peterbourogh. Charline could always be found at the card table, always laughing , rarely losing and having a great time. We were blesssed to have her for 99 years and her love and passion for life is an amazing example for me and those who knew her. A life well lived.

All the memories of my dear aunt will be forever held in my heart and mind. One is of when she lived in Toronto and I was visiting when younger, she taught me how to do needlepoint...that first one still hanging in my parents' dining room. Over the years, I have done many large needlepoints that hang on my walls, even taking them along with me to Florida and working on them in the early morning hours while sitting on the beach. To this day, I still work on them. She gave me that gift that I have enjoyed so much over all these decades.
When she moved back to Fredericton, our family gatherings always included our Aunt Charline. Her beautiful smile and gentle voice always warmed us all. She loved inviting people for lunch and I certainly enjoyed my lunches and talks that I had with her.
She will be so missed by us all, but we know that she certainly lived a very full and blessed life of 99 years, doing it her way and nobody else's. She loved and cherished everyone within her family as well as her many friends from church and bridge.
You will always be remembered with love Aunt Charline. God Bless.
