Janet, Robbie and Alex. So sorry for the loss of Jim. I think often of our time together leading the scout group. We had great conversations about our boys. Whenever we would see each other on the sidewalk we would always stop to catch up. He will be dearly missed.

I am so, so sorry to hear of your loss Janet, Alex and Robbie. My heart breaks for you all. My memories are from when our kids were young together - birthday parties, school functions, the odd camping trip, sliding parties. Jim's smile lightened every conversation and brightened every room! My thoughts are with you. Lori

My deepest condolences to Jim’s family. Shocked to hear about him passing away. I had the pleasure to dealing with him for many years while he was at NBP, and I can only have good words for him. He always dealt with outstanding integrity, always fair and defending the interests of his company, and always proud of his family (he always talked proudly about his sons). My prayers are with you. RIP Jim Tree, always remembered as a truly nice man.

My deepest condolences to Janet, Alex, Robbie and family.
I became friends with Janet in 2009 when we were both physiotherapists at the Chalmers hospital, and soon got to know Jim.
Jim was always friendly and smiling, and would come to greet me whenever I went over to their home (or I would go find him usually sitting in front of the TV and we would chat for a couple of minutes).
My greatest memories of Jim are of going out on their sailboat and of their New Year's Eve parties and playing games, but these are just a few of the many.
Jim, rest easy, my friend. You will be missed.

I will always remember my cousin Jim's smile. because he brightened up every room with that smile! We spent a lot of time with the family when they would come home on a holiday. We'd all gather at grandma and grandpa's and have so much fun! Over the years we all grew up and the distance separated us. From mom, Gregg and I and our families we send so much love and healing prayers to the rest of our family. Keep all the memories close to your heart and remember the love that Jim spread everywhere he went. We love you xoxo

Jim was an extraordinary human being. Many people walk in and out of our lives every day but very few leave "footprints in our hearts" and Jim was one of those people. The whole Tree family was always very, very special to us and our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. May this void in your lives be filled with beautiful memories of a wonderful husband, father and brother. Hugs from Brenda and Gerry.

This is a beautifully written tribute to a man whom you all loved so deeply. I have been flooded with memories of Jim and I going back and forth on details and ideas as we planned our trip to Disney World at Christmas time in 2019. So many beautiful memories were made that week, in particular on Christmas Day when we all had lunch with Mickey Mouse. Memories I am holding extra close to my heart. Hugs to you all.

So sad to hear. My thoughts are with his family. I met Jim at work with NBPower. Our desks were not too far apart. But then got to know Jim through the flying community. We would attend lots of airplane functions and meetings together. A great memory I have was at work Jim would bring his airplane magazines for me to read after he was finished with them. Always a positive and great guy, really enjoyed talking airplanes. Will truly miss Jim.

I am saddened by this and can say that Jim was one of the most positive and supportive guys I ever met while playing Old Boys soccer in Fredericton. The obit is great as I had no idea he was a sailor and a pilot and such a well-rounded family man. The league won’t be the same without him and his permanent smile that always greeted us, welter teammate or opponent.

My heart aches for you and your family, Jim. I will always remember you as the well deserving Mark Lawrence Trophy winner from 2012. You exemplified Mark's virtues: HARD WORK... DEPENDABILITY... ATTITUDE. A formidable teammate and opponent, you will be missed by all who knew you. It was an honor to share the pitch with you. Rest in peace mate!
