Obituary of Michael David Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael David Smith on July 22, 2023 at his home following a long battle with numerous health issues.

Michael is survived by his mother, Patricia “Pat” Smith; his sister, Heather Reynolds (Tim); his nephew, Brendan Reynolds; his brother-in-law, Daniel Doucette; his special friend, Nancy Hughes and his furry companion, Sam.

He was predeceased by his father, David A Smith; his cherished younger sister, Natalie Anne; his maternal grandparents, Luella (Murchland) and Irvine Goodine; his paternal grandparents, Dorothy (Ring) and Thomas Smith.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family burial will take place at the Hermitage Cemetery.

Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
