Robert Brown

Obituary of Robert Marshall Brown

Robert “Bob” Brown, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on August 22, 2023, in Mazerolle Settlement, NB.

Born on September 20, 1958 in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of Marshall Brown and the late Merena Brown (Hanson) of Southhampton, NB; husband of Melita Brown (Betts), the love of his life, recently celebrating 48 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife and father, Bob is survived by two sons, Robert (Rob) Brown (Erica), Joshua (Josh) Brown (Suzanne); a sister, Debbie Brown; brothers, Thomas (Tom) Brown and Timothy (Tim) Brown; grandchildren, Mika, Alyssa, Ben, Ezekiel and Kadence. He was predeceased by his mother, Merena Brown (Hanson) and his brother, Teddy Brown. He was much loved by his brothers and sisters-in-law, and extended family.

Bob’s lifetime occupation was truck driving, with the last 20+ years working for Armour Transport. He was truly dedicated to his work and made an impact on everyone in his travels over the years; becoming very good friends with many (human and furry).

He will be remembered as a kind, loving, hard-working man who would do anything for anyone. Bob loved his home, tinkering in his garage, carpentry projects and inventing many a gadget that would fix anything.   He was mechanically gifted and loved working on vehicles, especially on his beloved Tracker.  In his spare time you could find him in the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. The many Sunday trips to visit his Dad were cherished by them both. The family will miss all his jokes, chats,  stories, and memories of countless adventures and moments that were shared and treasured by all.

Special thanks and appreciation to the DECH Doctors and Staff, Extra Mural, family, friends and neighbours for the great care and support.

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
