Obituary of Alton Eugene Trail

It is with sadness that the family of Alton Trail announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the age of 81. Born in Temperance Vale, NB, on February 17, 1942, he was the husband of the late Leona Guitard.

Alton leaves behind his sons, Lloyd and Brent Guitard of Ontario; daughter, Jeanette Major; brother, Raymond Trail (Linda) of Saint John, NB, and Jerry Trail (Suzette) of Calgary, AB; beloved furry friend, Baby the cat; many extended family members. In addition to his wife of 47 years, Leona, Alton was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rita (Niles) Trail; daughter, Mary; siblings, Gordon, Robert, Larry, Joyce, and Phyllis.

At Alton’s request there will be no services. Cremation will take place. For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
