Obituary of Deborah Lee Davis

It is with sadness that the family of Debbie Davis announce her passing on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the age of 76. Born in Fredericton on August 13, 1947, she was the wife of Donald Davis.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Debbie leaves behind her daughter, Shellie Morton; grandchildren, Brody and Connor Durling; sister, Paulette Corrier; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Gladys (Currie) Fitzgerald; brother, James Fitzgerald.

Debbie’s loves were her family. She cherished the special lights of her life, grandsons Brody and Connor, and their mother, Shellie. She was an active member of her church, The Drive, and volunteered her time there as well as at the Wednesday and Friday Clothing and Food Bank. She enjoyed making salads and desserts for functions at The Drive and Maugerville United Baptist Church as well as for family gatherings.

There will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held at The Drive Baptist Church, 150 Greenwood Dr., on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Gordon Cook and Paster Neville Gosman will officiate. For those who wish, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Maugerville Baptist Cemetery or The Drive Church.
