Bud was a proud veteran having served his country in WWII. Following his discharge from the military he worked for CP Railway as a Yard Master and Conductor until his retirement. He volunteered with various community organizations including Meals on Wheels and the Rockland Cemetery Committee as well as donating his handmade birdhouses in support of the Lakeland Resource Center. Bud was a member of the Catholic church and belonged to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #7 in McAdam. In his spare time he enjoyed cribbage at the Owls Club and was golfing well into his 90’s.

Thank you to the staff at the Veterans Health Unit for their excellent care during Bud’s time there. He made many special friendships with the other residents and staff and he truly felt at home.

Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Catholic Church, 1500 Hanwell Road, on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:00 am with Fr. Bill Brennan as celebrant.
