Obituary of Megan Stacey McMullin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Megan Stacey (Basker) McMullin on March 26th, 2020. Born on May 5th, 1983 in Pembroke, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Lynn Basker.
She is survived by her partner Sakwat Kabir; her 4 sons Brayden Basker, Hunter McMullin, Jake McMullin, and Finn Kabir; sister April Basker, and her nephew Liam; paternal Grandmother Helen Basker; maternal grandparents Rene and
Marie Gaudet; Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law Darrell and Brenda McMullin;
Sisters-in-Law Starr King (Dustin) and Cory McMullin (Mike Steel); several aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and special friends. Megan was predeceased by her husband Jamie McMullin, her parents Wesley and Lynn Basker, her paternal grandfather Christopher Basker and her uncle Colin Basker.
Megan was a member of The Canadian Armed Forces where she was a Supply Technician at CFB Gagetown for 10 years. Megan lived most of her life in Oromocto, New Brunswick and enjoyed her trips to Inverness to her Basker Family and her trips to Cheticamp to her Gaudet Family. She also enjoyed her trips to her late husband's Camp at the Lollipop Ranch all in Cape Breton where her heart was.
Megan will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will always be remembered forever for her beautiful smile.
At the family's request there will be no formal services. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Megan's name.
