Obituary of Hilda Marie Hayward

It is with great sadness that the family of Hilda Marie Hayward of Lincoln, New Brunswick, announce her passing with her family by her side on November 4th, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Lorne, New Brunswick on February 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Olive (Furlotte) Godin.

Hilda is survived by her sister, Yvette; brother-in-law, Willard (Bonny); and sister-in-law, Leah, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Hilda was also blessed to have many friends in her life including her special friend Barb Roger's.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Russell; her sisters Jacqueline (Donald) and Valerie; brother, Valmond; an infant sister; and her brothers-in-law, Gerald and Kenny.

Hilda was a large part of her church, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and an active member of the CWL. She loved a good card or bingo game and was always ready for a shopping trip.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Eden’s Retirement Villa and 4NW at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for their excellent care.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McAdam’s Funeral Home. There will be a visitation at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Hilda’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Alzheimer’s Society, or the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
