Gail, Carol and the rest of the Bartlett family - we are sorry to learn of Mardi’ passing. She was a real lady who always greeted you with a happy face. We enjoyed being in their company during church events and Wayne sang in the choir with her for years. We send our condolences and pray that you will know peace and comfort in the days ahead. With love, Lera and Wayne Beers

Dear Bartlett Family,
Dan and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Mardi was a wonderful person and we were blessed to know her. We always enjoyed our visits to Fredericton while staying at Mardi & Les' house. Mardi's sense of humour and wry wit was especially entertaining for us. May you all find strength, comfort and peace in the many memories you shared together. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Mara and Dan

To all of the Bartlett family,
Alan and I wish to express our sincere sympathy to you in the loss of your dear Mom. We have known and appreciated her (and your Dad) for many years and know what a wonderful Mom and grandmother she was to all. I actually had the privilege of singing beside her in the soprano section of the BSBC choir for many years and enjoyed her warm personality.
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers in these days and weeks ahead.
God give you peace and comfort at this difficult time.
Jane Ann and Alan Sears

I have a blanket made by my Grammie Bartlett, made up of 88 crochet "grannie squares". Each square is a different colour, made with spare ends and scraps of yarn. I can't think of a better emblem of Mardi's resourcefulness, creativity, and generosity. Legend had it that you were gifted one of Grammie's crochet afghans when you moved away from home. I've moved 12 times in the past 15 years, but having her blanket across my lap always made each new place feel like home.

Carol, I’m so sorry. Your mom was such a dear and I have such vivid memories of her warm hospitality as we would troop into your house on Montgomery Street to discuss whatever high school drama was being played out that day. Her eyes just had a warm sparkle and when I think back, your home— despite the number of kids, felt calm and welcoming. What a loss. And what a legacy. Heartfelt sympathy and love to all of you, Anne Caverhill.

We , in the McFarland family have tremendous memories of Mardi and her family. Mardi was always a gracious host when Jerry and Marjorie visited; when kids of each family spent time together and when grouped family visits took place at Grand Lake. In our church family Mardi was an essential component to a loving and caring environment. Her generosity and Christ like love will not diminish in our hearts nor be forgotten.
