To the wonderful family that loved Phyllis Daigle...I met Phyllis and Ted shortly after I moved to Fredericton, as they were dear friends of my then husband, Jonathan Rahn. As a new faculty member at St. Thomas, it was a bit bewildering to meet so many people all at once, but Phyllis and Ted stood out from the crowd. A more welcoming couple couldn't be found! Their love for each other radiated to all who met them. Phyllis was the loveliest person I have met for many, many years. Her smile, quiet energy and clear love of Ted, her family and her life simply inspired me. Phyllis was a light to this world, there aren't many who equal her.
Sincere condolences and love to all who now celebrate and mourn her wonderful life.

Dear Daigle Family,
How blessed we feel to have been introduced to your family first at St Dunstan’s then at neighbourhood events( Campbell’s parties) soon after we arrived in Fredericton in the ‘70s. Although our paths have not crossed so frequently in recent years, when I did encounter Phyllis, the years melted away as you were embraced by the grace of her presence.
I can only imagine the big welcome hug as Phyllis continues her new journey.
We are grateful for the treasured memories and have seen how her gifts will live on through you all.
Most sincerely,
Ron and Virginia Jackson

I've known Phyllis Anne since 1964 and can honestly say she was my second mother. My memories of her are all wonderful and bring a warm smile to my face on reflection. She always supported John and me in our various creative endeavours. I can still hear her call out in exasperation on some of our wildly creative deeds: "Jooooooooohn!" (I don't recall her ever calling out "Biiiiiiiiiill", but I'm sure she did... because where John went so did I).
John, Paul, Jacqueline, and Michelle.- you allowed me to be a part of your family, as did your Dad and Mom. And for that, I will be eternally grateful.
I will miss your mother terribly, but I'm strengthened by the many wonderful, wonderful memories of her (and your Dad) that will keep me warmly smiling always.

Jean, Paul, Jacqueline, Michelle & Families, please accept my condolences on your Mom’s passing. Calm, kind, gracious & sweet come to mind at the mention of Mrs Daigle (Phyllis). May you speak her name often and continue to share precious stories of her as well as those of her and your Dad. They were Yin & Yang, calm & Chaos and such a great match! In the course of sharing may others give you their memories which will allow you a whole new glimpse of their life together and how your Mom carried on after Ted’s death. I hope these stories will bring you comfort and no doubt some laughs in the coming days as you celebrate her life and settle into a life of carrying her in your heart.

My condolences to all the family of my Godmother Phyllis. I have fond memories of when Phyllis, Ted, John & Paul would visit us in Nova Scotia in the summer months. I never met the girls because I had left home by then but I hope we can meet you in the near future. I was fortunate to have Phyllis at my 50th birthday party that was celebrated in Toronto at Jeannine & Rita’s. My husband & I did a stop over in Fredericton a few years back & we got to see & spend some precious time with Phyllis & Paul. Such good memories. Remember all the good memories of your Mom, they will stay with you forever.

My sincere condolences to the Daigle family. I was very lucky to live with Phyllis for two years when I went to school in Fredericton in the 90s. Phyllis generously treated me as part of her family, so much so that I considered her as my second mother during those years. She caring and considerations of others and upbeat nature was a great example for me. Shine on Phyllis.

To Michellle, Jacqueline, Paul and David. We send our deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom. She was a wonderful women that I remember fondly. From the time we were neighbours in the late 60’s early 70”a when Ted and Fenton taught at STU we had a lifetime connection. She was Melanie’s godmother. Never a birthday passed without a call. I remember her at the Co-opover the years. The last I saw her was when I had gotten married back in 2006. I think of her often when I think of mom and dad. They were such great friends.
Hold on to all the great times you got to have with her. Sending much love to you and prayers. She had a long life and now gets to spread her wings . Love David and Ana and kids

Sending my deepest condolences to Phyllis's family. My late husband and I had the delight of participating in the Cathecumenate program in Ted and Phyllis's home back in 1983, shortly before Ted was diagnosed with cancer. Over the years, I would run into Phyllis and have a nice chat. She was as mild and soft spoken as Ted was loud and ...well, not mild! We enjoyed our weekly meetings in their home immensely. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort.

I heard the sad news about your Mom last night and I'm so sorry for your loss. She was one-in-a-million. Time-less. Such a lovely woman. I have remembered her fondly through the years. I'm so glad you were able to call her yours.
The fog rolled in as I was out with my dog. Yet, there was one bright star beaming through it all, and it seemed fitting to thank her for her kindness over the years.
My deepest condolences to each of you.
Much love,
Janet (Vancouver Island)
