Len, Bill, Susan, Mike, Kelli, grandkids, Steve and Janice, my heart is breaking reading this. I have such fond memories of Gerene and I always lived visiting her, she always had a new craft to share and teach me. Gerene always had her door wide open as well as her arms with a welcoming hug and the smile oh that smile it always made you feel so warm and welcome. She always had the smile for you even on her toughest days she never let her medical challenges get in the way of a good cup of tea and chat. Barry and I would be with you if we were in the Province, we are sending hugs to you all. Although our hearts are breaking Gerene is now at peace. We all have wonderful memories of Gerene that will keep her alive in our hearts. ❤️ Peg and Barry

Len, Bill, Mike and families,
Clint and I are sending our deepest condolences and hugs.
Gerene was such a sweet person. She always was so generous with her smiles and laughter, even on those days when she was feeling ill. She never let her battles with illness define her; she was a courageous warrior!
My first trip away from home was to visit you and Gerene in Deep River; so much fun and laughter in your home! oh the wonderful meals Gerene made! We went Swimming, visiting the Parliament Buildings. Gerene entertained Steve and I during the day! She was a great hostess! It was such a wonderful experience!
I remember how excited I was to go to Aunt Marion’s and Uncle Fred’ s house when you guys visited from Deep River. Gerene was so happy and that was always evident when she would tell us her stories from “away! “
We fondly remember all the visits at your place in Fredericton; we could drop in unexpected and was always welcomed!
Every encounter with Gerene left those around her feeling upbeat and happy.
Gerene’s eyes would just dance when she talked about her family, especially the grandkids!
She will be carried in the hearts of many forever!
