Obituary of Tim MacDonald

We, the family, are saddened to announce the passing of Shaun Timothy MacDonald on January 30, 2024 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Tim was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on June 5, 1957 to the late Shaun and Clare (Murphy) MacDonald.

Tim was predeceased by his brothers, Maurice and Gerry and sister, Margie and brothers-in-law Laurie MacDonald and Bill Marshall.

He leaves behind son, Stephen, his siblings Brian (Arlene), Rod (Valerie), Clare (Rhea) Marshall, as well as sisters-in-law, Jackie and Norma and many nieces and nephews.

Although born in Cape Breton, Tim worked many years in Halifax and later moved to Fredericton.

Tim fought many challenges in his life and in spite of this, he was able to make many friends and maintain a great sense of humour. Declining health in later years forced him to face many medical problems. We would like to thank the amazing staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for their great care and compassion. We will always remember the staff in 3 SW for making Tim’s last days as comfortable as possible. You were wonderful.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will happen at a future date.
