My Sincere condolence to all family for your lost. I have known Fred at the Cadets here in F'ton. I was helping with the little canteen we had set up when the Cadets were having a little break. Fred was always sitting there at his place he had inherited.
He was funny but also argumentive in a funny way. lol. We had good laughs. HIs time has come. Rest in Peace Fred
Monique.

We met Fred just under 10 years ago at St. Francis of Assisi. Fred was very involved, and always available to help out. He loved to joke and enjoyed being with others, especially his many friends from the Knights of Columbus. Among my fondest memories are of Fred's participation in our annual Remembrance Day service at St. Francis. This service will never be the same without his presence.
Fred helped every summer with lawn mowing the grounds at St. Francis, defying his age, working harder than many younger than himself. I loved to tease him and and would tap him on the shoulder to say, 'hello trouble,' to which he would smile and give back the same greeting. You left us so suddenly Fred, and somehow I suspect that's exactly how you would have wanted it. We will miss you.

Trevor, I am so sorry to hear that Uncle Barney passed away. He was one of my favourite people in the world. I have many fond memories of him from the time I was a very little girl - from the times he visited when he was home from Germany, and the summer when he moved back to Canada and lived in our backyard in his travel trailer - and so many more throughout the years. He lived a good, long life, and was always up for an adventure and had many interesting stories to tell. As he so often told people, he was my dad's "unofficially adopted little brother", and to me he will always be my "Uncle Barney". He was one-of-a-kind and the world will be a less bright place with him gone from it. I will miss him terribly.
Kind regards,
Denise Doiron

This is a hard pill to swallow.
We lost a wonderful man that night.
He had the biggest heart . A great teacher, friend, grandfather figure, and sometimes a father to us.He would do anything for anyone. He was always a large part of the cadet world. He taught me so much, we had some great laughs.
I will miss you old man. Or as he would say. I'm not old, I'm just older.
I've told ya before and I will say it again. Love ya Fred I will miss you.
