Carol, my condolences with respect to Gordie's passing. As young lawyers at times appearing opposite each other in Saint John we had enjoyable practice matters as well as the occasional social events in Westfield.. When the both of you moved to Fredericton for Gord assume the position the Deputy's position in Justice our paths would not cross as often. However both of us were on the Law Society Language Integration Committee in the early 80's and travelled together renewing our past histories as well as our friendly debates. His advice support and pragmatic common sense was invaluable to the committee. He will be missed. I can confirm that your daughter Kathryn is emulating her father's legal and personal capabilities. We are fortunate to have her return to serve honoring yours and Gordie's Saint John roots proudly and very capably.

From David Clark and family
Carol, Kathy, and Andrew. Today it feels like we've lost a great deal more than a dear friend. More like the loss of an esteemed brother. A brother in the law, in the administration of justice, in public affairs, in happy times with friends and family, and certainly, in the exploratlon of just about all of the salmon streams of New Brunswick. So many cherished times together have flooded my memory these past few days. I wish you peace. I truly wish I could be with you on Friday to join in the celebration of Gordon's exceptional life but please know I will be thinking about you all. I will be with you in spirit if not in person. With deepest sympathy, David

Dear Carol, Susan and I extend our sincere sympathy to you , Andrew , Kathryn and family on the loss of Gordon.
We were fortunate to be hired by and to practice with Gordon when he served as the Deputy Attorney General for the Province. He was a fair, intelligent and able leader of our "law firm". In any issue that came across his desk , he had the ability to get to the key issue real quick.
Not only was he a very competent and ethical practitioner but he was a very skilled tennis player..I have fond memories of our early summer morning tennis matches at Wilmot Park where I was often the victim of his soft touch drop shots for a winner.
When working at the Office of the Attorney General , we worked as a team for the public good . Provided you could justify your position when interrogated by him , we knew that Gord " had your back" if anyone questioned your position on a legal issue. He was a good person of high integrity .
With Sympathy
Susan and Richard Burns

Dear Carol and Family,
We express our sincerest condolences on the passing of Gordon. Over many years of knowing Gordon, he was always dignified looking, approachable and a true gentleman. We visited his genial feeling and nature loving fishing camp by the rapid sounding retreat. Gordons passions were well known and appreciated. May his Family find some solace, with having shared him with so many.
Warm regards, Ivan Levine and Leianne Hudson
