Dear Jane and Family, We are terribly saddened by Brian's sudden illness and passing and we want to send you our heartfelt sympathy and condolences. We recall you and Brian, the nice young couple curling with the Clarks, and winning the 1972 NB Mixed Curling Championship. I enjoyed the pleasure of curling against and with Brian over many years. Brian was highly recognized as a top curler and a gentleman both on and off the ice. His presence around curling will be deeply missed. The Obituary for Brian is a moving tribute to him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and as a fine individual and competitor. Brian will be remembered by all who had the privilege and honour to know him.

Jane, Marsha and family: Hilarie and I were very sorry to hear about Brian's sudden illness and passing -- it was way too soon. We worked together for 8 years in DPS before we both retired. I recall Brian as an exceptionally capable colleague - smart, knowledgeable, thoughtful and reliable; and always kind, calm and practical. That's an impressive combination. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him as did all of the Corrections staff in head office and the field offices. Brian was truly one of the nicest and most considerate guys I ever worked with. He accomplished a lot during both his career and his personal life and will long be remembered for setting a really good example in every way. - Jim and Hilarie Carter
