James H. Liston, This morning I called John Evans who told me about the death of your wife. I see from the obituary she passed away on July 5th. My wife Bonnie passed away on June 5th this year. I am so sorry about your lose but if my experience can help you please use it. I shared with family and friends that my wife left me with many very good memories. Those memories have become the vocabulary of my love relationship with Bonnie. We know that love is eternal and and I have peace and comfort in our continuing relationship. Until we meet again.

Jamie, Rebecca, Heidi, Philipa, Mandy and all the little ones…I am so sorry for your great loss. I have so many wonderful memories from our time together at South Devon. A door separated my work space from Brenda’s classroom so whenever I needed a pick-me-up I simply opened that door and watched her work her magic. She was sweet, kind and professional but she was also very funny. There wasn’t a day that she didn’t bring a smile to my face or a laugh to my belly. She made it fun to go to work. I can’t believe she’s gone. I’m so sorry.

My condolences go out to Brenda's family. Mrs. Liston was and always will be my favorite teacher. She was kind and always cared about her students. I still have a book she gifted me/my mother when I was born, which she wrote such a nice note in. So sad to hear of her passing.

Sincere and heartfelt Condolences to the LISTON Family
My heart is heavy during the loss of our dear friend Brenda.
I met Brenda in 1983 when I started working as the school Librarian for South Devon.
We discussed golfing, decided to ask staff if anyone interested and had 3 replies..Bonnie Grant, Anita White, Anna Fallon and 20 years later we had made precious memories -golfed over 56 courses in NB with the golf pass, took amazing trips, sleep overs at Anita’s cottage, Christmas suppers at Brenda’s, pot lucks, 6 am breakfast to watch the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana. Greek night at Anna’s plus having Barb McGuigan and Donna Wheaton join us was a bonus. Those precious moments were a blessing to us Brenda and you were our little “star”. Love you forever. I can see Bonnie greeting you now with these words “Did

I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Brenda Liston. She was a wonderful person, a terrific teacher and a valued staff member at South Devon School. It was my privilege to work with her there and see first hand how blessed her students were to be in her classroom. She had a heart of gold and was always the most positive person in the room and even on the golf course with the ladies of South Devon. I met Brenda when I was teaching at Connaught Street School and she was the art teacher. Her art classes were wonderful. She was so enthusiastic, organized and creative, always a special learning experience for the children. Brenda was such a friendly and kind person and will be greatly missed. My sincere sympathy to all members of the Liston family.
I taught Grade 2 with Brenda for several years at the former South Devon Elementary School. Brenda was a wonderful teacher that I admired greatly!
Brenda taught one of my sons (Jonathan) in both Grade 1 and Grade 2 where they developed a special bond. Years later, he cherished the days he would see her while working at the Fredericton Golf Club. The chats they had always made his day!
It is my hope that you will be lifted up by the words of others and your memories as you learn to live each day without her earthly presence.

Brenda was a lovely person with a wonderful sense of humor. It was a pleasure to work with her at South Devon. She was a dedicated teacher so kind and compassionate to her students. When retired we would occasionally cross paths while walking or out and about with our grandchildren and would enjoy a laugh and lively conversation. She will be missed.
