Obituary of Linda Exca Moore

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Linda Exca (Lofstrom) Moore at Hospice Fredericton on July 13, 2024. Born December 17, 1951 in Fredericton, Linda was the daughter of the late Daisy and August Lofstrom.

In addition to her parents, Linda was pre-deceased by her son Jason Guthrie; brothers Richard and Louis Wedge; nephew Ricky Wedge; brother-in-law Phillip Moore; and mother/father-in-law Joan & Donald Moore.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 34 years David Moore; daughters Laurie Guthrie (Darren Crowther), Tarryn Cheshire (Jamie); son Greg Moore (Heather Menzies); grandchildren Brandon & Carter Hayes, Ava Moore, Indie Cheshire, and Sophia & Charlie Crowther; sisters-in-law Carol Scott and Emily Moore; and nieces (Dianne Wirtz, Debbie Wedge, Krista O’Gorman, Teri-Lee Stiles); and nephew (Tony King); and former relatives of the Guthrie family.

Linda retired from the University of New Brunswick’s Economic Department where she worked for 27 years as an administrative assistant to the wonderful faculty and staff.

She and David enjoyed their travels throughout the Caribbean highlighted with trips to New York, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and to see family in British Columbia.

Linda will be remembered for her positive, endearing personality.  Her sense of fun and spontaneity at Yoho Lake when her children were young.  The wonderful family dinners she so thoughtfully prepared, and warm memories shared on her patio.

After retirement, Linda’s greatest pleasure came from spending time with her grandchildren and enjoying special times at Grand and Washademoak Lakes with family.

Mom, Wife, Nanny and Aunt - you will be so sadly missed - love you forever.

A special thank you to the medical team and staff at Hospice Fredericton who provided amazing care during her battle with pancreatic cancer.  For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Fredericton.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home Chapel (J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel) on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00pm, with words of remembrance at 3:45pm. A private family interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery.
