Obituary of Ila Shirley Reid

The passing of Ila Shirley (MacDonald) Reid of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Budd Reid, occurred January 19, 2021. Born on May 15, 1927 in Williamsburg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Kirby) MacDonald. Ila was a graduate of VPH School of Nursing and worked for many years for a group of doctors in obstetrics and gynecology at the Fredericton Medical Clinic. She was known for her love of family and friends, her kind and generous spirit that touched many, and her fun, loving ways. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Jean Fenwick and brothers Dow and Phillip. Ila is survived by daughters Mary-Ellen of Saint John, and Jo-Ann Burris (Mike) of Fredericton. Arrangements to celebrate Ila’s life will be announced at a later date.
