Gosh…I am so saddened to hear of your Moms passing, Susan, Heather and Jeff. I would have to say that some of my fondest memories include your mother…just hanging out at your house and listening to her laugh, those incredible cookies she used to make…”melting moments”?…stopping at Briggs and Little on the way to your fabulous cottage, going to the “ Rehab Center” when she was working, to help out if we could. Looking back, I think she even influenced my career choice…having just celebrated my 40th anniversary of being a nurse. She was one of the people I looked up to the most in my young life, and I can only imagine how much she is missed. I think we can rest assured that Skyline Acres is well represented this year…wherever they may be. Fond regards Lisa (Newell) Barton

Dear Gordon, Sue, Heather and Jeff I am thinking of you and am very sorry for your loss. Wendy was so generous with her time and talent. Jerome and I enjoyed visiting with you at your home and cottage. We always had good fun together. We were touched when she delivered her floral designs to decorate our home during a special event. Her leadership through Guides is remembered by our daughter. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I was very sorry to read of Wendy’s death and send my condolences to Gordon, Sue, and the rest of her family. She was a patient of mine for a number of years before I retired and I enjoyed her visits with me. She always had some interesting projects on the go and I recall her interest in documenting historic Anglican churches. She will be missed.

Wendy and my mother were childhood friends and remained close throughout their lives. I've known Wendy all my life and am so grateful for the support she provided my mother. Wendy even arranged all the floral centerpieces at my wedding many years ago and many summers were spent at her family cottage growing up. She truly was a loving and giving person and will be greatly missed.
