Always enjoyed our trips down to Hilton Head on March Break with Pauline and my parents. One year I brought a friend, Al, with us. So it was Pauline, Al and myself in the back seat and my Mom, Joyce in the front. The big joke between Joyce and Pauline was she'd say "Where are we now, Al?" And Joyce and Pauline would laugh till they cried. Of course, they weren't asking my friend Al where we were, they were referencing an Al in their past (Al Creaghan?) and some older woman was trVelling with him and always asking "where are we now, Al?" The joke must've been told 20 times and we always laughed. Except my friend Al, who didn't know what to make of Pauline and Joyce. Pauline had a great laugh and a great sense of humour. I will cherish those memories.

Aunt Pauline was an amazing woman. She lived life to the fullest and was sincerely interested in everyone. Optimistic yet a realistic. She guided me over the years. I have fond memories of great times in Fredericton, Nelson and of course, Burnt Church. We always enjoyed her visits to Ontario and I treasure her last dinner with us gals in Toronto.

What a lady that I had the pleasure of working for at Shannex Saint John. She would always say to me when I was giving her evening meds, "Your from the old school, I can tell." That little phrase made my shift because I, like her, am. My thoughts & prayers to your families & I've missed her little wink she would give me. Beautiful woman. ..

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a sweetheart and I think of her often. It was such fun to grow up in the neighbourhood with parents like yours that would welcome any kid in for a meal or a quick snack. I remember calling early on Sunday mornings before church to say hi to your mom. She would start my day off with a joke and smile and remind me that I had called the wrong number again, as I called your place many more times than my own home. Even when we got in trouble, she would give a stern lecture and send me on my way with a cookie and a 'see ya tomorrow.' Please extend my sympathy to the entire family. You mom will be missed. Love and hugs to all. %u2764%uFE0F%u2764%uFE0F

Ross Macdonald. Geraldine Farrelly posted a condolence
We were very saddened to hear of your loss recently. I will always remember Pauline, and Dick, as such gracious 'landlords' in the 60s when I, and three mates, shared the downstairs suite on King's College Road, while at UNB. It was a home away from home. Joe and Patrick, sharing the same suite, had to put up with our late nights and rowdy crowds, but appeared to have survived, just barely. Pauline and Dick were always there for us if we needed help or advice. Decades later, by pure serendipity, my wife and I found ourselves in the care of Joe's, (and Leo's), accounting firm in Calgary. From there we re-established contact with Pauline and have remained in touch since. She was a grand lady and will be missed by all who knew her. Our sincere condolences go out to her family and friends. We will miss her yearly Valentine's Day message. Stay well. Ross Macdonald and Geraldine Farrelly

Dear Kathy, Deborah, Patrick and Joseph, We were saddened to learn of your mother's death. Burnt Church has lost another faithful. We always considered Pauline to be a positive life force. One could not help but feel happy after spending time with her. Your mother was always upbeat and positive, seeming to embrace everything that life had to offer. We always appreciated her interest in our family and her friendship with my mother, Marion. While Pauline has gone to be with your father and other good Burnt Church people, her legacy lives on in the four of you and your families. Please know that Pauline was loved by many including by us. In sympathy, Bob and Gisele

Aunt Pauline called me Tish or Tishie. She was my Dad's crazy sister from down east! We always looked forward to her visits as kids...and her visits took on more significance after Josie died. Pauline was Dad's rock and she taught him how to put one foot in front of the other after such a terrible loss. When my kids were little, I received the coveted invitation to Burnt Church where we spent many a morning swimming with the jelly fish and the afternoons sipping gin & tonic on the front porch. Pauline was great fun and will be greatly missed. I look forward to sharing stories or a round of golf again in Burnt Church soon. Much love to all...Tish

Sorry, l am just seeing this now, a couple years late. Very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a sweet lady, and so pretty.
I baby sat for Pauline & Dick, at their cottage in Burnt Church the summer of 1963 (l was 15 yrs old at the time, and lived in Barryville). They were a very nice family and easy to work for. Pauline and Dick are together again, may they rest in heavenly peace.
My heartfelt sympathy to all your family.
