My sincere condolences to Bruce’s family and friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my fireside talked with Bruce over the years. During my years of officiating his basketball games, Bruce had high expectations of players and officials to be perfect. He was passionate and wanted his athletes to reach their full potential. I had an opportunity to speak to Bruce last year when I was in Fredericton playing tennis and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. Bruce was a great man and will be sorely missed by many.

Dear Debi and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. I have fond memories of him signing my autograph book back in 1973 when he played Mount Allison hockey. At that time those guys were like the NHL to us young kids. I know he has had quite the journey over the past few years but I was always so happy to see him out there enjoying life. He had such on an impact young people as a teacher, administrator and especially coach. He will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Debi…and all the family members. Bruce was one of my favourite high school teachers at Tantramar High… teaching geography. I have fond memories of his kindness & patience with all of us in that class for two years in a row…including lots of laughs that came about from his ability to make us feel secure enough to be ourselves and enjoy life while learning. I also carry my memories of the many times I babysat for Debi & Bruce! Thanks for those two New Years Eves, where you had pizza and pop delivered to me just before midnight!! May you be at rest now and I wish your family peace and comfort at this time.

My brother-in-law Bruce was a strong man in every sense of the word and I love the many sentiments and character traits captured in his obituary. I loved our get-togethers over the years at a fishing camp in the Miramichi region and will surely miss our tramping through the woods to the next fishing hole. Bruce always brought an intensity as well as his best effort to any challenge and he loved winning. - I'll not forget a heated and very close scrabble game and his making up the word "sward" using his remaining letters, for the win. We thought it hilarious and the laughing that ensued was on us as it turned out the word he guessed actually existed. Anytime my wife and I met Bruce he always wore a welcoming smile and a twinkle in his eye before a word was exchanged. I am grateful I had Bruce in my life and look forward to our next (heavenly) fishing expedition. Condolences to Debi and the family. Mike and Colleen Sheen

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Mcmillan (Coach). Mr. Mcmillan was more than just a basketball coach; he was a mentor, a leader, and an inspiration to so many of us. His guidance on and off the court shaped not only our skills as athletes but also our character as individuals.
Mr. McMillan taught us the values of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork, lessons that have stayed with me long after high school. His passion for the game and dedication to his players were unmatched. He believed in each of us, often more than we believed in ourselves, and he pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Mr. McMillan will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Kyle Borden

My memories Bruce and Debi began back in the “ old days” of the 70s at MTA. I was there when these two met and had the privilege of attending their wedding. Their love was a lasting one and that was clear from the onset. We all graduated from MTA together and then Bruce and I graduated with our Bachelor of Education in 74. Oh, the times we had! Mount A was our new home and we enjoyed every moment that we shared there, as only youth away from home, for the first time, can do. Over the years my path crossed so many times with both of them - some on purpose, some by happenstance. Bruce and Debi just seemed to pop up everywhere that I was - Woodstock( so close to my hometown) and Campbellton( the school district where I worked for 30 years) and of course they were a big part of the community of Sackville where all MTA grads gather at times. Bruce was an educator, through and through. He took educational leadership and mentorship seriously and has left an impact on so many - a lasting legacy to New Brunswick education. My heart is heavy for his family because I know that this is a great loss for them. I hope that they can take some comfort in a life so well lived and in the memories that he leaves behind for all of them to treasure. I am certain that Bruce and Brian - those incredible brothers from the Sault - will be planning a fishing trip very soon. Or maybe they will organize a game of football or hockey just for the fun of it. I like to think of them as, together, again. Sending hugs to all of the family but especially to my longtime friend, Debi. I intend to be there for the long haul. ❤️❤️
