I’m so very sorry to hear about John. We spent quite a bit of time working together when I first graduated and came to Saint John to work for his Dad, Jack. Donna, Megan, and Alex. Words are not enough to express the sadness I feel for you. My heart breaks.
John was simply, a kind, caring, generous person. Many times, I was on the receiving end of that generosity. My memories of him are from recent trips to Naples with my brother. We enjoyed dining out. From burgers&fries at Five Guys, ribs at Rusty’s, sirloin tips at T-Michael’s, or pork chops at the Yardhouse. John would endlessly and humorously critique the food.
We borh loved music, and had many favourite artists in common. But I still can’t believe he got a selfie with Bob Seger in a random parking lot in Naples! I will miss him dearly. With love and deepest sympathies, Randy MacDonald.

I met John late in life when I moved back to Freddy and joined the FGC. John wore his fav Ricky Fower colours so he definitely stuck out on the course. I found him easy going and welcoming to be around. We played on the same Wend Night Men’s League team for a number of years and always found him a great playing partner.

I am so sorry to learn of John's passing. John and Donna were among the first people to welcome me , as a new franchisee to the Atlantic Subway family in 1992. John was always telling a story at conventions and the centre of any group he was chatting with.

So sorry to hear our old buddy, everyone's friend John has passed. We knew he was ill but held out hope ehe would rally and get better. I only played golf once with him this season, and it was a short round as he didn't feel at all well.
Played a lot of golf with John over the years here, and in Naples where he spent his winters.

John and I grew up together in St John as young kids, were roommates at UNB and great friends in Fredericton for decades. John enjoyed life and family like no other - a love for Champagne and golf and making sure his family were happy and safe. So unfortunate to lose such a caring and loving person so early in life. Many good memories Johnny has left us with for eternity. Rest in peace old buddy, love ya miss ya!
