Obituary of Henry Adrian LeBlanc

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Henry Adrian “Bucky” LeBlanc on October 17^th, 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.  He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. 

Born May 7th, 1943, in Fredericton NB, he was the son of the late Henry and Christine “Chris” (Young) LeBlanc.  Bucky will be sadly missed by his loving wife of nearly 48 years Theresa "Terry" McHugh; daughters, Nicole Carroll (Donnie) and Heather MacIsaac (Rick), and son, Matthew LeBlanc (Emily); grandchildren, Niquita, Ben, Chelsey, and Erica; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Finn; sister, Kay Furlong (Paul) and niece, Jodi Parker.

Bucky grew up a “Devon Boy” and lived in Soest Germany for several years in High School before returning to Devon to complete grade 12 at FHS.  He was a jack of all trades and would tackle just about any job from owning his own pet store to driving a truck or heavy equipment.  He worked as a draftsman and later with line cutting crews for NB Power for 30 years before retiring to enjoy more time working around the yard and on his boats.

Bucky enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He adored his grandchildren and loved to brag about them to anyone that would listen.  Bucky had a love for animals of all kinds including the ducks in the yard and all ‘his’ neighborhood dogs.  He was also known as a bit of a joker with a ‘gift of the gab’ and was endearingly referred to as the “mayor” by many in the community.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical staff on 3East of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, as well as his care teams on the ENT and ICU units at the Victoria Regional Hospital in Halifax.

Visitation will be held Monday October 21, 2024, at McAdams Funeral Home in Fredericton from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the J.A.
