Obituary of Eben Otuteye

June 3rd, 1956 - February 10th, 2021 It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Dr. Eben Otuteye announces his death that occurred on February 10th, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Eben is survived by the love of his life Flavia. Eben was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Eben was born in Ghana and moved to Canada in 1981 as a graduate student in the Economics department at the University of New Brunswick. He later went on to Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario to complete his PhD in Finance. Eben later returned to Fredericton and started his career at the University of New Brunswick as a professor in the Finance Department in 1987. In his career he served in many roles including Acting Associate Dean and Assistant Dean. Besides his love for teaching, Eben was actively involved in the community and served as a board member of his church for many years. Eben will be greatly missed by so many. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, for those who would like to make a donation in Eben’s memory, can do so to the Fredericton Word of Faith Family Church.
