Obituary of John Mazerolle

It is with sadness that the family of John Mazerolle announce his passing at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the age of 72. Born in Fredericton, NB, on December 11, 1948, he was the husband of Saundra Mazerolle. In addition to his wife, Saundra, he leaves behind his sons, Tony (Michelle) and Wil (April); daughters, Vicki (Kevin) and Sarah (Brian); grandchildren, Veronica, Aidan, Logan, Grant, Andrew, Dallas, Madison, and Alexandra; brother, Gregory (Frances); sisters-in-law, Bonnie Mazerolle, Donna Speer (RJ) and Eva Gay Sutherland-Baxter (Jay); brother-in-law, Robert Couglan; He will also be missed by his Cheesie Cousins, Jerry, Dawn, Jackie, Lilli, Judy and Cathy. John was predeceased by his parents, Wilfrid and Mildred Mazerolle; brother, Leon; son-in-law, Brian; sister-in-law, Linda Couglan. John grew up on Miles Street in Devon, attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was a proud member of the Trout Gang. During his career he worked in several places including the Shell Canada Gas Plant in Didsbury, AB, the St. Anne Nackawic Pulp Company, and finally, the Water Treatment Plant at Base Gagetown, from where he retired. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Family Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 social distancing restrictions attendance will be by rsvp only. To reserve a seat, please contact McAdam’s Funeral Home at 458-9170. For those who may wish to send flowers, a plant or bush that the family can add to John’s garden would be much appreciated.
