Obituary of Patricia Leah Fradsham

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia (Pat) Leah Fradsham announces her passing on Tuesday, June the 15th, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Fredericton (Marysville) on May 28th, 1939, Pat reached the age of 82 before losing a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur (Art) and Selena (Basque) McGloin, her stepmother Germaine (Theriault) McGloin and her partner Charles (Charlie) MacDonald. Pat leaves behind her three sons, Derek (Diana), Sean (Tami), Dana (Kelly); her first husband and friend, Robert (Bob) Fradsham; her sisters, Sherry (Art) Savage of Calgary, Janine Foster, Jocelyn (David) Downie, Kim (Ron) Hartlen, Terry (Troy) Jenkins, Zale Bethune and brother, Brian (Wendy) McGloin. She had two grandchildren, Liam and Erin, and two great grandchildren, Max and Lilah, whom she adored. Pat grew up in Marysville on Duke Street and raised her three boys in Silverwood. She worked for the Department of Agriculture, and later at the Faculty of Law at UNB, until she retired. Pat ran a busy ceramics shop out the basement of her house in Silverwood where she taught many kids in the neighbourhood arts and crafts. She loved relaxing on her back deck, puttering in the garden, and spending time with her many friends "up at the shore" at Everett's campground. Pat travelled abroad extensively, including to Ireland where she embraced her Irish heritage. She also enjoyed her many adventures with "The Sisters" and was known to partake in the odd glass of sherry. Pat was the past president of the local chapters of both Professional Secretaries International and the Kinettes, as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Pat Fradsham at St. Dunstan's Church in Fredericton on Friday, June 18th, 2021 at 1PM. Due to the current social distancing restrictions please contact McAdam's Funeral Home at (506) 458-9170 to register if you wish to attend. For those who wish, donations in Pat's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
