Obituary of Charles George Taylor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles George Taylor, Wednesday, April 15 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. George was born in Chamberlains, NL in 1949 to Charles and Jean Taylor. George is survived by his loving wife Janice (True), and his daughters Rachel Ann and Lindsay who he was very proud of. He will be missed by his siblings Dorothy, Earl, Charlotte and Noel along with his sisters and brothers in law. George was predeceased by his parents and sister Sue; as well as his mother and father in law, Audrey and Herman True. At the young age of 17, George left his beloved Newfoundland to join the Canadian Armed Forces and see the world, while making numerous lifelong friendships. Later he became a commercial Insulator working throughout New Brunswick but mostly in the Fredericton and Base Gagetown area. George loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and long drives through the woods. Annually in February, George would make his way home to Newfoundland to go ice fishing with his cousin Eddie, Aunt Mid and Ron. He treasured this time. This summer Jan and George will make his final trip to Newfoundland. A special thank you is extended to family and friends that have supported them with calls, messages and prayers during his illness. Thank you to the Oncology and Palliative staff. Due to the current situation with Covid 19, there will be a celebration of life by invitation only. For those wishing to attend, please contact the family.
