Dear Carol and Family, My sincere condolences to you. I first met Tom and Carol when they chaperoned a provincial youth trip. I was a Grade 11 student and a participant of the NB Young Voyageur program that gave teens a chance to leave the "country life" of NB and travel in Canada, which in this case was to Kingston, ON and cities between. This was certainly a great learning experience for me. Thank you! I continued to see Tom fairly often over the years in my role as an educator. My thoughts are with all of you. He will be missed.

To Carol Ann and Tom's extended family, Our condolences to you all on Tom's passing. We recall fondly our times together at Sorority parties and the infamous Fredericton Social Club!! What fun we had. Tom was always right in there with whatever was happening laughing and displaying his great grin. We had lots of good chats on many topics. We share your sadness at this time. May your many memories of your times together with Tom comfort you now and in the future. Sincerely Anne and Doug Johnson

Sadly, Megan & I did not have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with you and Tom, but we look back with fond memories of the happy times we did visit with you folks, especially at the Lake House. Tom will be in our thoughts for a long time to come.

While growing up, many times Tom came to our house with my brother, Dennis. Mom would always have a roast, turkey, etc. in the fridge for all to enjoy. I had 5 older brothers but it seemed like more with all of my brother's friends. Tom was a favourite then and now. So sorry for the loss of Tom in your lives and so happy that you had the blessing of Tom in your lives.

We are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. My memory took me back to when Tom and I first met at the maternity ward, at the VPH, each celebrating the birth of our daughters. Where did that 52 years go ? RIP my friend.

My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Hanley family. I met Mr. Hanley only a couple times in my life (many years ago) and to my observation, he was a very nice man. I only know Tom and Chantelle, and know the sorry they are feeling having just lost my Mother in August... I can truthfully say that the pain you feel in your hearts will subside as time passes. It will be filled with the pride you have for your Father, and the joy you have as you remember all the great memories you created while he was here on earth. I am just around the corner, if you need anything Chantelle. All my love.

Dear Carol Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. As I write this I can see him smiling...always smiling and always positive. Tom was so highly regarded by anyone who knew him and he was always young at heart....even though I now realize he was older than I thought he was so that comment is especially true. Tom was so proud of you Carol Ann that he made everyone believe he married the prettiest and smartest girl in town. This is how I remember Tom. Please accept my sincere sympathy; he will be missed. I first met Tom at Springfield College in 1960 where we became friends. Tom transferred to New Brunswick and I lost track of him. In an amazing coincidence, when waiting for surgery in Trinity Fl the O R nurse was from New Brunswick and her step father knew Tom. He put Tom in touch with me and we spoke and caught up after over 55 years. This past year he invited me up to his camp and mentioned he was having health issues. Because of my own health issues I declined. I now wish I had gone anyway. I never met Tom's family but am sure they made him proud Canada has lost one of their special sons
