Obituary of Bernice Ramsay

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bernice Ramsay announces her passing on December 1st, 2021. Following a brief illness, Bernice passed away peacefully at Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Vince, and their beloved daughter, Carol. As the heartbeat of her family, Bernice will be missed by her daughter Barb (David Clark); her sons Bryan (Joanne Blois-Ramsay) and Stephen; her cherished grandchildren Caitlin and Andrew Gulik (Florence Chevalier), River and Nash Ramsay, as well as a son-in-law Ken Gulik. Bernice was married to her lifelong love, Vince Ramsay, for 66 years and after spending much of their life raising their family in Montreal, they set down roots in Fredericton in their retirement. Family meant everything to Bernice who loved her four children and grandchildren, and was at her happiest when spending quality time and special occasions with them. She was a woman of faith who personified strength and grace especially during difficult times. In recent years Bernice found much happiness among her friends at Shannex. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Robertson for the care and compassion he gave to Bernice over the years and especially in the past few weeks. A visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, from 10 am – 12 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church, on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, at 2 pm with Fr. Bill Brennan and Fr. John Jennings as celebrants. Due to current provincial regulations, proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be required for entry to the visitation and service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Hospice House Fredericton.
