Dear France and family, I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Dave. We were teammates on the 1962-63 Championship UNB Red Devils. I kept in touch with Dave over the years when I was in sport at Mount A. I know that he was very proud to provide the leadership to develop a AAA girls hockey league in NB. I thanked him many times for taking this initiative. I had great respect for him as a team mate,, for his many contributions to sport and other community initiatives, and of course for his courage to speak publicly of what he %uFFFD believed in %uFFFD - always representing those who he felt would benefit from his efforts. Sincerely, Jack Drover.

We are very saddened by the news of David's passing. Our hearts are with you all. David was a really good man. He was an example of what a great coach and Dad are. Our connection started with hockey. His leadership and hard work on behalf of female hockey opened big doors to future success for so many. This started a big chapter in our lives and the lives of so many other young female players in Atlantic Canada. We are forever grateful for his contributions. The memories created during all of the road trips to Quebec and US are special. The girls learned important life lessons and made lifelong friendships. We are so sorry! Heartfelt hugs from the Cashin's.
