Obituary of Clifford B. Giles

The peaceful passing of Clifford B. Giles, 84, of Maugerville, NB, occurred March 19th at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on July 13th, 1937, in Blind River, Ontario. He was the son of the late George & Sarah (Stark) Giles. In addition to his parents, Cliff was predeceased by his first wife Yvonne Giles, Fredericton, NB, and sister, Jean Ann Russin, London, Ontario. Survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Kathy; son, David (Susan) of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Leslie (Arnold) Morehouse of Fredericton, NB; step-daughter, Trudy (Courtenay) Jameson of Salisbury, NB; step-son, Damon Black (Brandy Dunn), of Upper Coverdale, NB; brother Harold (Joyce) Giles of Toronto, grand-children Breyan, Shane, Shae Lee, Nhyia, Halle, Garrett and Brookelyn; great grand-children Levi, Kayla, Adison and Hannah, nieces, nephews and his many friends. Cliff was thirteen when he moved to NB. He owned and operated DC Electric contracting business for 36 years. Cliff was a member of the Kinsman Club for many years, President of the Fredericton Construction Association, President of the New Brunswick Construction Association and sat on the board of Canadian Construction Association. He also served as President of Fredericton chapter for the Illuminating Engineering Society. After retirement, Cliff worked 5 years for the New Brunswick Commissionaire’s Association. He was a member of the Anglican Church in New Maryland, and, in recent years he attended the Maugerville Baptist Church with his wife, and most recently attended The Drive Baptist Church, when he was able. There will be no visitation, by his personal request. A graveside service will take place Monday, May 30th, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church Cemetery, 373 NB-101, New Maryland, N.B. Arrangements are entrusted to McAdam's Funeral Home (458-9170). In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Fredericton SPCA, or a charity of donor’s choice, would be appreciated.
