Obituary of Keith Chesley Jones

It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Keith Chesley Jones of Fredericton, New Brunswick, on April 4, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 90. Keith was born in Wirral, New Brunswick, on April 28, 1931 and was the son of the late Violet Frances (Kirkpatrick) and Frank R. Jones. Keith is survived by his wife Esther (Black); daughters Sally Brewer (David), and Brenda Cameron (Lawrence); sons Michael Jones (Thrish Kotow), and Paul Jones (Wendy); brother Robert Jones (Alvina), sisters-in-law Althea Jones, Margaret Higgs, Betty Stewart, and Audrey Black; grandchildren Heidi, Nevin, Tristan, Samantha, Patrick, Maxwell and Eden; great granddaughters Brynn and Ramona, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Keith was predeceased by his sisters Frances, Lois, and Pauline, and brothers Lloyd, Art, and Murray. Keith graduated in 1955 from the University of New Brunswick with a BSc Electrical Engineering and worked for NB Power Corporation where he held various positions until his retirement in 1991. He was an active member of the IOOF (Victoria Lodge #13), Wilmot United Church, and a member of the NB Power 25 Year Club. A funeral service will beheld at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 am. An interment will be held at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date.
