Obituary of Joan Margaret Mason

It is with sadness that the family of Joan Margaret Mason announces her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, April 28, 2022, after a lengthy illness. She went to Heaven on the wings of an angel. Joan was born on December 29, 1944 in Saint John N.B., the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha Mason. Joan will be sadly missed by her sons, Robert Bryant (Andree) and Matthew Bryant; grandchildren, Krystal Savard (Jacob), Carolyne Bryant, Allison McCaffery (Randall), Benjamin McCaffery; great grandchildren, Evey, Ruby, Bronson and Weston; nieces and nephews Lori Emmet, Nigel Emmet, Stephanie Mason and David Mason; fury companions, cats Kipper and Baby J, and dog Onyx, as well as many close friends. In addition to her parents Ralph and Bertha Mason, Joan was predeceased by her son, Robert Larry Bryant, daughter, Rosselyne McCaffery (Mike), sister, Sandra Emmet, brother, Brian Mason (Mavis) and former spouse, Robert Wayne Bryant. Joan will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching Tiger Woods, the Pittsburgh Penguins, WWE Wrestling, and watching old game shows. She also listening to Elvis, knitting, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held from McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held from Oromocto United Church on Thursday, May 12, at 11:00 am with Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Burton. For those who wish, donations in Joan’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Love Never Dies
