Obituary of Derrick Nelson Koller
It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Cst. Derrick Nelson Koller on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on October 22, 1978. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sylvie (Cormier); sons, Sebastien (13) and Vincent (9). He was the son of Ann (Doiron) Koller and Steve Koller.
In addition, Derrick will also be missed by his sister; Katalin; brother, Steven (Alice); father and mother-in-law, Robert and Cecile (Primeau) Cormier; sister-in-law, Lisa Cormier Pronk (Rory); brother-in-law, Richard Cormier (Jennifer); his six nephews and one niece, Maximus, Tobias, Lucas, Janelle, Tristan, Nathan and Logan; and many close friends and extended family.
Derrick was a one of a kind, devoted family man, who always left a lasting impact on anyone who met him. His humour, stories, and loyalty to the RCMP will be greatly missed.
Derrick and his family were recently transferred from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, to the Woodstock RCMP Detachment in New Brunswick.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no public visitation. A private service will take place followed by a burial in the Hermitage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Canada in honor of his mother or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
