Obituary of Paula Louise Brown

Paula Louise Brown, June 27, 1938 – July 10, 2020. Paula, an only child, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Rochester, New York. While she passed the prestigious BA Nursing program at the University of Rochester, she chose to confine her talents to her family. She embraced the old-fashioned profession of full-time mother of four sprightly children, not to mention her husband. She is predeceased by her parents and will be deeply missed by her husband, Wallace Brown, her four children, Catherine, Alexander, Paul and Emily, her son’s and daugther’s in-law, Brent, Lisa, Candice and John, and her grandchildren, Jaden, Zachary, Ashlin, Isla, Stella, Truman, Andrew and Naomi. She was the kindest person imaginable, incapable of cruelty, always seeing the best in everybody. She was a loving wife and mother, whose love was pure and unconditional. She was the sworn enemy of most modern machines with the exception of television, a keen supporter of American PBS. She was very liberal – socially and politically, attitudes partly bequeathed by her Swiss father. She was a self-confessed procrastinator, but last year finally obtained Canadian citizenship. You could not find a prouder new Canadian. She had a long and happy life, filled with laughter and all the beautiful moments that anyone could ever want in their life. At her request (more like a threat), there will be no visitation or service (she was a true introvert). A family gathering to celebrate her life is being planned for a later date. Rest in peace Mum. Love, Wallace, Catherine, Alexander, Paul and Emily.
