We were so shocked and saddened to learn of Cindy's death from the obituary in today's Gleaner. We met Cindy while taking bridge lessons at the Seniors' Centre. Afterwards, we played bridge together, went to restaurants to eat and talked gardening.
We have several plants that she had given us; one of which is the Culver's root. Presently, it is in full bloom and is constantly buzzing with bees. We have the plants to remind us of her. When she came back from vacation in France, she brought us each several souvenirs: a magnet of the castle at Carcassonne, a package of herbs. She was so generous and thoughtful. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. We feel very fortunate to have known Cindy.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Cyndi. Bruce and I (Diane) were neighbours of Cyndi when she lived in Ottawa. We always appreciated her kindness, the evenings under the gazebo and her expertise in gardening. Our deepest condolences to the family.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Cyndi and send my heartfelt condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of seeing Cyndi often at The Cabin Restaurant and waited on her numerous years only to find out years later much to my surprise that we are related. She was always patient, kind and had a great sense of humor. I very much appreciated the time I had to learn about her, the family, the stories albeit losing touch when I stopped working. I will be keeping everyone in my prayers who is left to mourn the absence of this sweet soul in the days to come.

Lovely picture and that is how I will remember Cyndi! I first met Cyndi in Ottawa when I was a guest at her home. A wonderful host. Always enjoyed our visits on the “Hill”. She truly had a wealth of knowledge within her and our chats were always engaging and often quite entertaining.
Take care

So very sorry for your loss. Cyndi was a very good friend of mine when we were teenagers. I was able to get in touch with her a couple of years ago. I was going to go see her, but sadly time and life got in the way. Lesson hopefully learned. In my life I rode a horse twice. It was one of Cyndi’s and both times it threw me. Cyndi thought that was funny. Looking back, it is a very good memory. She was always up for anything, and had such a great laugh. The world is a little sadder because of her loss. But she will live on in my heart.
