I was saddened to learn of your mother's death after 101 years of living a fulfilling life The picture of Laurie in the obituary is just how I remember her: beautiful, both on the outside and the inside, and always gracious, I met your parents in Darien, CT and enjoyed their company for many years. Who can forget their entertaining? I first tasted steak and kidney pie at one of their parties and discovered that it really was very good. I also remember when your parents added an addition to the house, with your mother explaining that now their children came back in pairs and they needed more room even though they were empty nesters! However, I think the best memory I have of your mother was when, as president of the Darien Congregational Church Women's Fellowship, at a meeting she told us she had an announcement to make. She certainly captured our attention, when she told us her life was changing. She quickly followed up that statement by explaining that she was not getting a divorce but rather she had accepted a position working for the local American Cancer society so she would be a "working women." I know Laurie will be missed but she was a blessing to all who knew her. I send my sincere sympathy to all the family.

Our sincerest sympathies to all of you from all of the Perry family. Laurie always invited us for supper when we were in Brockway, which was very appreciated especially after we lost Mom (Laurie's first cousin, Claire Libbey Boone Perry). Our thoughts are with all of you, Tim, Susan and Hilary at this time and we hope to see you again. Eleanor Perry (Morissette).

Hilary, my fond memories of your Mom go to when you lived in Darien. She did love to entertain and I loved getting all dressed up with you and serving at the Christmas and church parties your Mom and Dad always held. She was regal, with such dignity, style and class and taught me many life lessons.
I know you will miss her deeply but you know the love you shared will carry on forever
I love you my dearest, best friend

Dear Hilary, I’m sending my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your Mother. A beautiful lady, a life well lived. May you find comfort in the many happy moments you shared together. I enjoyed reading of her work during war times & what seems like it blossomed in a life long romance. I often read with interest the stories of war brides. Most of them had to endure hardships especially during & after their arrival in Canada. Your Mom it seems endured a happy & fulfilling life. What a blessing! You are in my thoughts & prayers.

Dear Hilary and Susan and Family
Hollie and I are thinking if you as you morn your beautiful mother. She was an impressive lady and she inspired many of us I fondly remember going to her home in Brockway with my mother in law Edna Craig following the dance in Brockway. Graciously served tea and goodie’s. Often when she was home from fall away places, she would visit Hollie’s home in Harvey. I am now a resident at York Care and Hollie was at the cottage until the end of October. He is now back at our condo at 158 Handwell rd. His phone number is 506-455-5127. My phone number is 506-300-0150. May you be comforted by many happy memories.
Many blessings
