I knew Donnie for almost all my life. He was a great source of wisdom and humour. Donnie always had a wise crack to make just to get a little laugh but most times it was a big laugh. Donnie was a hard worker and from what I hear, one of the best welders money could buy. He worked hard over his career to provide for his family, Bill and Donna. I was impressed as a young boy how cool he was when he built their new home in Nasonworth and their camp over north. Donnie could make just about anything and had nine lives. After surviving a couple of bouts of cancer over the years, it seemed there was nothing short of a meteorite that was going to take him out. I have fond memories growing up spending a fair amount of time at the Weaver's so got to know and appreciate Donnie. I also recall a few trips over to the camp and there being no shortage of beer drinking and story-telling. Great times. Well, as we all know now, Donnie's time has come but we are left with many great memories of him and that he and Donna are re-united. Rest easy Donnie, thanks for the memories. Peter Flower
